The calls ranged from, "where's my polling place" to using Google Maps to guide a lady to her polling place, which was just behind her house to threats because I personally would not let them vote, though they had been to their polling site and told the same thing I told them and what my supervisor told them...ah well, lesson learn....if it's important to you, make sure your ducks are in a row before the deadline approaches, and to make sure your paperwork is filled out completely and properly. Most of the callers were understanding and polite when they understood they were not registered to vote, many had moved and were not in the proper precinct and just needed to know their proper polling site. It was a Historical Election and one I was able to play a small minute part.

Were the people there able to register the day of? We were!! I forgot to register until the day after the deadline. Maybe it was just a small town Idaho thing. I was just glad to be able to be a part of it.
No, the deadline to register was Oct. 20th.....Gotta plan ahead here.
I must say that eventhough I voted Republican, I think it is cool that Americans, especially young people, finally got involved and voted. You have to respect that!!! Plus, I think it is cool that I got to see history being made in that the first African-American President was elected. :)
Plus, at least, Prop 8 passed.
I was also really excited that Prop 8 passed and most are giving credit to the fact that Obama was running. It'll be interesting to see where our country will go from this point. It was historical that's for sure.
